LIVERPOOL LEGEND HANSEN SAYS MAN UTD SACKING MOYES NOW REAL PROSPECT Liverpool legend Alan Hansen believes sacking Manchester United manager David Moyes is now a real proposition. Hansen wrote in the Telegraph: This is crisis time for David Moyes and Manchester United and the question now is how much longer the hierarchy at Old Trafford will be prepared to put up with it. Moyes is now under huge pressure after Liverpool and fighting for his future, which makes you inevitably wonder how much longer he has got in charge. I have never been a manager and would not condone getting rid of Moyes this season, but if United go out of the Champions League against Olympiakos on Wednesday night, and then lose against Manchester City, there will be serious doubts over whether Moyes can continue. Those two games, either side of a tough trip to West Ham United, are crucial to his position and while it is obvious that he needs a minimum £100 million to buy new players right through the squad it is uncertain over whether he will be around to spend it. United have never been a sacking club and the supporters have loyally stuck with Moyes despite all the lows but there are huge question marks over how the club’s owners are feeling right now.
