***LOCAL FRIENDS PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SHARE THIS STATUS RE: HIT AND RUN*** Hey Facebook peeps. Friends of our family had a run of some bad luck today and i told them i would give this a shot to see if it could maybe help them out. Earlier today, my friend Joe parked his truck on the side of Greene st across from Warner street in front of their house. Somebody hit their truck this afternoon (3/30/14 before 5pm), by scraping down the side of it. It hit it hard enough to bend the axle and cause gear oil to drain out of it. Repairs are going to be more than the vehicle is actually worth. Unfortunately they only had liability insurance and that will not cover a hit/skip situation and their family is out a vehicle now. The vehicle that hit their truck left white paint and possibly a running board off of it. If any of my friends had seen it or heard about it, please contact the Marietta Police Department (740)376-2007 and let them know.
