LOL. Apparently, a faculty member is ranting on facebook about Prodigi Creatives with some ridiculously invalid arguments. His arguments include us being the admins council and not really serving the students because we are working for the schools admins and that because we are a student organization, we shouldnt be. So to clear the confusion, let me make some things clear. 1) Prodigi Creatives is not a student council but is a university-based organization. Unlike a student council, we do not have constituencies that we are mandated to serve because we are not in anyway political. Although, we still strive to serve the student body by giving the university creative support, Prodigi was made to promote the digital arts and to urge the university to tap its creative students instead of outsourcing - nothing more and nothing less. Also, we are not working FOR the admins but are willingly working WITH them. Theres a big difference. As a student organization, we have the freedom to choose who we affiliate ourselves with as long we do not harm the welfare of our members and the Aquinian Community which leads us to our second argument: 2) THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH STUDENTS AND ADMINS WORKING TOGETHER. Whats wrong is a faculty member promulgating a mentality that students should always go against the university administrators and vice versa. While we also believe that student leaders should be valiant in protecting the welfare of the students even against the admins (if necessary), we see nothing wrong with the administrators tapping students every now and then. We do not see it in any way as neglecting the rights and welfare of the students. On the contrary, we even believe that it should be the universitys prime goal to unify all Aquinians (administrators, faculty, employees and students) with a common goal: the development of the university. Hence we believe that a student organization like Prodigi peacefully and voluntarily working together with the administrators should be celebrated. There is a big difference between activism and just trolling.
