LONG STATUS WARNING. Sorry this is so late, I got home at 4pm and WENT TO BED a broken woman. A broken but very happy woman. A couple hours sleep and a dirty fry up and multiple cups of tea has sorted me right out. I just wanted to say that Ive had some pretty damn amazing festival weekends this year and Redfest is 100% up there as one of the BEST experiences Ive ever had at a festival ever. I need to thank my absolutely INCREDIBLE team of people who in the majority came to work for nothing and who ALL went above and beyond what I asked them to do, working LONGGG hours and giving me 110% - Michael Goncalves who stage managed like a BEAST, and his stage team, especially tested to the max on Friday when we had a number of bands stuck in hideous traffic and we still managed to get them all on the stage for a set, Reiss Stanford and Chris Williams for sitting at the gate 90% of the weekend doing artist accreditation and then coming down to help out with other things afterwards, Charlie Paice and Anastasia Zvirbulis for their bar keeping skills, and my hubby Troy Harris for all his invaluable help with setting up and packing down. All complete and utter legends. Thanks too to James Tuckey and Paul Taylor-Clinch for lending their gear all weekend. Also to Jack Daniel and Lewis Felstead and their Total Uprawr crew Te Ara Dirkse, Tommy Noble, Rich Stokes for bringing the party. First time Ive been to a silent disco and it was sooo much fun! Thanks to Jez Sickfish Silcock for the Tescos runs and George Dyer for being AMAZING (he knows why). THANK YOU. A HUGE thank you to all the bands who came to play on the stage and made everyones weekend memorable, not only by putting on great shows but also by being extremely pleasant to work with. Props to POLAR., The Dirty Youth and Heart Of A Coward for being patient with the slight delay on Friday and not giving us any shit about it. A special thank you also to the bands who literally got out their vans after hours and hours and hours of being stuck in traffic and got straight on the stage and still smashed out their sets - The Catharsis and Baby Godzilla for one, and particularly BG who ended up with only a 20 minute set but were still stoked with that.
