LOOKING BEYOND THE IMO PDP GUBER PRIMARIES I should be forgiven - TopicsExpress

LOOKING BEYOND THE IMO PDP GUBER PRIMARIES I should be forgiven for this confidence that the Imo PDP governorship primary has already been won and lost, and if what my head tells me is what will be, then Ndi Imo will be in for a healing in the next four years. It has to be Ohakim for the PDP to have a smooth sail to Douglas House, and I think it will be Ohakim. Ohakim may not have the loads of cash which the Mbutu born lawmaker is throwing around, but with a very slim budget, Ohakim has been able to sell himself to the masses who have expressed satisfaction with the former Governors people oriented programs and policies. Majority of the PDP delegates whom I have interacted with have also made it clear that Ikedi Ohakim should have no rival in the battle for the Partys ticket. Accordin to one of such delegates from a ward in Aboh Mbaise L.G.A had this to say; You know that our brother is also running, but politics is not about sentiments, it is about interest and in this case we are considering Party interests and the potentials of the Party winning the general elections. Our brother does not present such potentials. We have exhausted all the lies we have to tell about him, but the people still do not want to hear about him. He will even fail in a free and fair election in his native community. Ohakim is our best bet, hence, majority of the delegates have made a commitment to stick with the Ikedi Ohakim option. Ikedi is the only aspirant who can present the incumbent with a good fight and return power to the PDP without much trouble. Ikedi is a darling of the masses and in this era of free and fair elections, PDP cannot afford to o into the general election with a candidate whose only hope is in rigging himself into power. Ikedi is the only one among the aspirants who has everything it takes to trash all the lies the present government has been spreading about. IMO GA ADI MMA OZO!
