DAY 83 TOPIC- SOUL WINNING But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Acts 1:8 A soul winner is a witness for Christ and a witness is someone that tells you what they know is correct. A soul winner is one that has received Gods word (salvation) and has also decided to win many for Christ. Soul winning starts from your knees. The reason why people are not effective in soul winning is because they dont take time out to commit their outing to God in prayer. Soul winning starts when we get people born again and it is perfected when we get people to be like us (soul winners too), win, equip, and send. We must win people and we also need to help them to begin to win others too, so as you have been rewarded for savings lives, they will be rewarded too. Romans 1:16 says for I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth, to the Jews first and also to the Greek. Here, apostle Paul wanted the Roman church to understand that the gospel of Christ is equal to the power of Christ. We preach to the people because we have an information (the truth) that they need to make it in life and Christendom. We need to excel in life and the things of God, if it was not so, Christ would not have died for us all. If Jesus Christ, whose footsteps we are following could do soul winning, then we have no excuse whatsoever not to preach the gospel. Also, it is a command that Jesus gave to all. Soul winning is not negotiable. The gospel serves as a covering to them that preach it, that is, it helps to put a check on you so you dont do the things you preach against. The best way to show to God that you really love Him is by doing the work of an evangelist (winning souls) 2 Timothy 4:5, not just bearing the name or title, but bringing people to Christ. PRAYER Lord Jesus, thank you for saving ma and giving me the opportunity to save others.
