LOVE Love is draped with a veil of fake hair, wears designer labels and tangles people in her web of lies. Shes so pretty that she seems real most times. Love had me fooled once. Like a blanket, she seemed to embrace me with the warmth that everybody wants. They say love is blind but the blind one was me. Until I opened my eyes up to see. See that love doesnt have the same appetite anymore. Where there should be two souls, love consumes and embraces more. Love hops into different sheets -silk, cotton and nylon- Leaving her faithful devotee in solitude all night long. Love is something else...quite funny. But I wasnt laughing when the joke was on me. It felt like a jab at my pride and I could only watch on, helplessly, as it died. Love is a 21st century thing; not the same one on which Shakespeare based his writing.
