***LOVELY LINDA NEEDS TO FIND AN ANGEL..BY NOON!*** A volunteer writes: As another volunteer put it, Ive never met a dog named Linda that I didnt like. This sentiment certainly applies to this Linda. On our first meeting, I absolutely fell in love with her. There is something special about her quiet, calm demeanor. I hadnt really noticed her in the mix of barking dogs in her ward. She was sort of pressed against the back wall of her dark kennel, quiet as a mouse and I could barely make out her blinking eyes. It seemed she was intentionally not drawing any attention to herself, but at the same time, when I opened the kennel door, she was happy to come out with me. She is a tiny thing, low to the ground with little piglet ears and a small head. Her fur is soft, and long/shaggy around her neck and her bottom, making for an interesting look. As we walked toward the door, I noticed she had a little quirk of a gait. It seems one of her back toe nails is growing in sideways, causing her to walk a little oddly. Though I cant be for sure, it doesnt seem to be causing her much pain. She eliminated quickly outside, showing she might be housebroken. Linda wanted nothing more than to be close to me. Though other dogs greeted her through the fence and she was polite, it seemed she would much rather sit on my lap or stand pressed against my legs while I petted her. While her tail was tucked most of the time, it did seem Linda loosened up as time went on outside, and certainly was able to trust me-her handler. Linda is a young girl that will blossom with some confidence building and lots of love.
