LUCKY “...This prize is non-returnable…” “…Ever wish you just lucked out?...” Unscripted: An Indie Film Xperience – two winners of a screenplay contest got their scripts made into films by local filmmakers. All done in an 8 hour block entirely within the Owensboro Public Library. Directed by Jakobi Bilinski, and written by Todd Martin in 2014, I got sent this one to review by Producer PJ Starks. Good Luck, Bad Luck. Man, Myth and Magic, Demon Possession. So you bought a Lottery Ticket and just won $60 bucks. Lucky right?... Anything but as you sit late at night in the Library researching. A young woman. A door slams, but it isn’t the Librarian Miss Nichols. The Downtown Demon pays a visit – his record is 6 and 0 – he fed his last female victim her own eyes…nice. He takes the time to read about his conquests. Eyes light up and power surges within. Uncontrollable like a living Hell. Time to fight back, to conquer and yet remain recluse. Yet the temptation to reveal all is never an easy decision at times. Sometimes it simply happens. 8 ½ minutes of fun. A great twist and turn of fate and some clever camera work.
