LUKE 10 30:37 30 Then Jesus answered and said: “A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. 31 Now by chance a certain priest came down that road. And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. 32 Likewise a Levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked, and passed by on the other side. 33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion. 34 So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him. 35 On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him, ‘Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I come again, I will repay you.’ 36 So which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?†WHILE YOU WERE READING THIS STORY DID YOU IDENTIFY YOURSELF WITH ONE OF THE THESE CHARACTERS? ARE YOU THE GOOD SAMARITAN? OR ARE YOU MORE LIKE THE PRIEST OR THE LEVITE? IN FACT SOME OF YOU MAY EVEN BE THE THIEVES IN THIS STORY PREYING ON GODS PEOPLE BECAUSE YOU FELT YOU HAVE MINISTERED TO THEM IN SO WAY AND NOW YOU FEEL ENTITLED TO GET ALL YOU GET FROM YOUR SERVICE TO THE LORD. WHY DO PEOPLE SAY THEY BELONG TO GOD, BUT DO NOT HAVE GODS LOVE AND MERCY IN THEIR HEARTS, THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THE POOR OR THE THOSE IN NEED, WONT EVEN GIVE THE TIME OF DAY TO HELP SOMEONE. THESE ARE THE SAME ONES WHO ARE ALWAYS FIRST IN LINE TO ASKING GOD TO BLESS THEM! WHY DO YOU EXPECT GOD TO BLESS YOU, WHEN YOU HARDEN YOUR HEART AND IGNORE THE YOUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR FACE? YEAH, I KNOW IT IS HARD TIMES FOR EVERYONE NOW, BUT IS THAT GOING TO BE YOUR EXCUSE WHEN YOU STAND BEFORE GOD? DO YOU REALLY EXPECT GOD TO BELIEVE YOU COULD NOT EVEN GIVE A $1, $.50, $.25 NOT EVEN A PENNY TO BLESS SOMEONE? REMEMBER THE WIDOWS MITE, Luke 21:1-4 The Widow’s Two Mites 21 And He looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury, 2 and He saw also a certain poor widow putting in two mites. 3 So He said, “Truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all; 4 for all these out of their abundance have put in offerings for God,[a] but she out of her poverty put in all the livelihood that she had.†SO NOW TELL ME WHAT IS YOUR EXCUSE AGAIN FOR NOT LOVING YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOU LOVE YOURSELF,MARK 12:31, ,MATHEW 22:39? GIVING TO SOMEONE ELSE IS THE BEST WAY TO GET YOUR OWN SELF OUT WHATEVER PROBLEM YOU HAVE, YOU WILL REAP WHAT YOU SOW, Galatians 6:7-9 7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. GOD WILL NOT BE MOCKED, THIS IS WARNING TO THOSE WHO DONT THINK THEY NEED TO LOVE, WHO DONT THINK THEY NEED TO HELP AND DEFEND THE POOR! GIVING IS THE GREATEST WAY TO EVANGELIZE ALSO AND WE ARE ALL CALLED TO SPREAD THE GOOD NEWS ABOUT JESUS AND THE MESSAGE OF SALVATION. NO MORE EXCUSES! YALL BETTER GET YOUR HEARTS RIGHT WITH GOD AND WITH YOUR NEIGHBORS, YOU WANT A BLESSING, THEN BE THE BLESSING. SHOW MERCY AS CHRIST DOES AND NEVER GET TIRED OF LOVING YOUR NEIGHBORS AS YOU LOVE YOURSELF! GOD BLESS YOU AND HAVE A GREAT DAY! LUKE:37 And he said, “He who showed mercy on him.†Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.â€
