LUMLA GETS NEW ROAD BLOCK POINT NEAR KUDUNG VILLAGE. -Tawang vigilance (Pic- The deplorable road condition near Kudung village) Tawang, Aug 11: Come monsoon and the residents of lumla headquarter are all worries as road communication goes erratic and the frequent road block trend continues. The two major block points of the area, near Kudung and Thonleng have been inflicting pain and creating havoc to the denizens since long. Despite major efforts to keep the road through, the road gets washed away or is blocked due to heavy rain and soil erosion, snapping the road communication to the area every year. While gushing rain water and lack of road side drain is the reason for the blocks at Thongleng village, Soil erosion is the basic reason for the block near Kudung village every year. Surprisingly, to the discomfort and agony of the hapless Lumlakpas, a new block point has emerged this year. The new block point, also near Kudung village, is the result of stone quarrying by the locals, causing extensive damage to the road and blocking all the drains and nallahs creating great problem to the public. The road is in deplorable condition for want of maintenance as frequent blockades stranded many vehicles and passengers this year and is the biggest headache of the hour for the denizens. Concerned authorities need to work on the maintenance of the damaged roads and blocked drains at the earliest and start repairing works as soon as the monsoon ends to relieve the helpless villagers.
