La Jolla Shores Time: am Temp: 63 degrees Viz: shallows 12’, a bit hazy 20’ – 25’ canyon Surface: 2’ I was looking for them, and hoping they would show up. And sure enough, almost my entire dive was dominated by Jack Macks, in varying degrees of schooling behaviors. Long, never ending trains, split trains, mosh pits, fly bys…just awesome. The best is when the fish allow for close up communing time with them. The last clip of the vid does not do justice to how cool it was to watch them hover north of VP plateau, then spill over the edge into the canyon, and finally swim away. So thrilling.
