Lab Systems Help Desk Technician - Rensselaer, NY Facts about the Role: This is a long term contract opportunity that has potential to be converted to permanent status! This is a great opportunity with a growing organization in the Capital District. Responsibilities include: • Administer user access - Control access to software systems; add, modify and remove users; define user types, update and reset passwords; modify system configurations as required and software installations. • Performance Monitoring • Ensure lab systems’ data is backed up/archived as required • Assist in integrating lab systems with other systems (ex. LIMS, Historian). • Train end-users on basic system functionality. • Provide end-user support including troubleshooting problems at the application level (includes working with vendors to resolve issues). • Documentation support Required Skills: • Associate’s Degree in Science/Engineering or related field preferred with 1 year of relevant experience in lab/IT setting • Will consider minimum 3 years of relevant experience in lab/IT setting in lieu of educational requirement.
