Lachlan has been sedated, with a breathing tube, since the scary event yesterday. But lately, hes been waking up, and he is breathing largely on his own, with some limited support from the tube. Hes had a few tests, like an MRI which showed no brain damage, and a heart catheterization, which showed some clotting around his surgical site and might suggest a cause for his cardiac arrest. Right now, they are planning to take out his breathing tube any minute - though I wouldnt be surprised if they delay again. They are cautious about taking that step. Thank you to all of you who have poured forth offers to help! (And apologies for not yet finding the time to write everyone back.) We will certainly take you up on it when we find the opportunity, but in the meantime, know that your solidarity means a lot to us.
