Ladies and Gents its almost that time of the season where football is around the corner. And of course, everyones favorite part of the season, the Power Rankings. This fall there will be 8 teams: Ironmen, Phoenix, Reedys, Birdgang, Chaingang, Anderung, Trojans and a combination of Omares/Lazy Joe. So here it is and enjoy... #1 Ironmen - After an impressive 11-0 undefeated season, the defending champs return to the 2014 fall season looking to capture another title. The self proclaimed greatest QB and his ever so colorful personality will be looking to take his team on the same journey as last season; only this time without some key players. Can the newly crowned father take his talented team to the depths of another successful playoff run? Or will the sleepless nights and diaper duty take its toll for Sundays? Time will tell....Congrats to you, Sir Charles! #2 Phoenix - No one likes losing, especially at the big dance; let alone to the same team in one season! With 5 new additions, adjustments on both sides of the ball, Phoenix is on the road to settle their score with the Ironmen...and Reedys...and Birdgang; hell, nowadays, everyone can be a rival, because, well why not, right? If you believe is superstitions then you will see no Mohawks this season, well, because that just didnt work. But, speed and size should serve useful this season for the runner up Phoenix. As a wise friend once said - look for the Rabbi of Defense to make a statement. #3 Birdgang - This one here folks deserves a lot of attention. After pending (now resolved) legal matters and intense psychotherapy, Sir William Mulhern and the Birdgang have been reinstated to participate in Sunday activities. Thanks to the outstanding and multitudinous services of Avraham & Avraham, LLC, MFT, legal expert and Anger Management specialist, the black and green are looking to take their well rounded talent all the way to the playoffs again, in hopes of not falling short after a spectacular season last spring. Giving credit when it is due, the newly behaved team, with proper etiquette might I add, is not looking for anything this fall besides Ws at the end of each Sunday. Dont sleep on these guys... #4 Reedys - Plagued by injuries last season (welcome back 53, its been very tough doing all the postings by myself...youre welcome) the cohesive and consistency that is Reedys are looking to quickly bounce back into the playoff run after their struggle last spring. No doubt, a handful of key players could not contribute due to injury, the newly revitalized Reedys Rolls is back and with a purpose. Can the fully tatted crew break through the barriers this season, or will there be another disappointing outcome? Something hints towards the first part of the last sentence. Reedys is back! (Bill is in the mail, RK) #5 Omares/Lazy Joe - This may be the most interesting combination and formation we have yet to see in JCC Football history. Under new management, look for power, strength and skill to show up each Sunday. With promises to not bark at the officiating by Omares own (shall remain nameless...Phil) and with a record breaking roster of 65 linemen, these guy are banking to reach the championship game in November. Perhaps Jesus can be of great help....No. Really. The last name on his jersey reads Jesus. I swear to God..Ok, you all get the point. No religious affiliation here. #6 Anderung - Definitely impressive coming out of the spring season, these some what seasoned vets, yet full of very good experience, are looking to rack up the Ws. Perhaps with the use of an official size football, their elusive gunslinger can make it happen. And when you play against them, dont throw it over the middle. Thats where Bruce is. Bruce is fast. He can run. Do as you wish. #7 Chaingang - After a difficult fallout last season, the pseudo Seattle Seahawks return and, one can only hope, their crew will remain consistent. Again, dont look at the record; their speed and agility can be an issue, as it was previously. No sleeping on these dudes either. #8 Trojans - Well, some has to say it, so here it is. Theyre back. Not broken. (Trojans dont break....do they? Testimonies are welcome, keep it clean) After multiple uncertainties about their return to the fall, now under new management as well, the Trojans have come together and are bringing a new offense to the league. Yes, you heard it right. What will Mr. Goldstein & Co have in store for us all this season? Stay tuned...we will find out soon...maybe. There you have it. 8 teams, which means all make the playoffs. Seeding will certainly play a role in the outcome of everything. Good luck to all teams. Dont forget captains meeting this Sunday at 7:30 by softball field; inside if it rains. NEW OFFICIATING CREW. Ill say again, NEW OFFICIATING CREW shall grace us with their presence. Tom has officially retired, and I think Walley now runs a 11.8 5 yard dash. Making progress. See you all in a couple weeks....
