Ladies, if you or anyone you know is taking Yaz birth control please urge them to switch. Five women per 10,000 on birth control will suffer blood clots and some will die as a result BUT several studies have shown that Yaz puts that risk two to three times higher. I took Yaz for almost 3 years before I was switched off of it by my doctor last summer due to concern in deaths among women caused by blood clots. Recently, after being admitted to the hospital (because I was unable to breathe and was in excruciating pain whenever I was able to get a small breath) and after 14 long hours of testing, it was determined that both of my lungs were full of clots and by honestly a miracle, Im very lucky to be alive right now. Im not meaning to scare you by this status, but rather to spread awareness about the dangers of this birth control brand and to urge you to stop taking Yaz if you are.
