Land day Youm Al-Ard March 30 Land day is the Palestinian commemoration of an event that took place on 1976 when the Israeli government announced its plan to confiscate thousands of dunams in the occupied palestine for settlement purposes. On this day, Palestinians went on a general strike and marches were organized in all Palestinian towns and cities and then confrontations with the israeli army took place which has left 100s of casualties. On the 30th of march of every year, thousands of Palestinians take to the street to commemorate the land day.. We protest on this day to send a clear message to the Israeli government that were going to resist any new plan aiming at seizing more land inside or outside the so called state of Israel. Despite all the Palestinian popular and armed resistance, all the national and international voices calling israel to freeze settlements and the peace negotiations with the palestinian president mahmoud Abbas, Israel is still practicing ethnic cleansing against palestinians. Israel doesnt care about all UN resolutions and now its confiscating more land, building more settlements in the west bank, destroying more houses in jerusalem and creating more refugees and homeless. Last israeli plan of ethnic cleansing against palestinian was the Prawer plan which was formulated in 2011; This plan was aiming at kicking out over 70,000 palestinians from the negav so they can build more settlement for the new Jew immigrants coming from the whole world but the plan failed due to the huge palestinian and international resistance.. Israel will keep practising ethnic cleansing against Palestinians and we will keep fighting.
