Land sakes if it aint one thing, its another. Robin & I pulled into the driveway after dark since we had been at AFRs Fall Shareathons. I got out of the car & immediately heard this bellowing from the school next door. I pleaded with Robin to help me find what it was since clearly something was very wrong. We deducted quickly it was a kitty in distress. We looked high & low & scoured every nook & cranny of that building & could not figure for the life of us where it was calling from. We thought maybe on the roof then realized, as we looked up into the sky, it was wedged way high, about 3 stories, up in a tree. Lord have mercy. I called the #1 local fire station after being re- routed from #6. About 4 super sweet guys came over in their big ole pretty truck & surveyed the situation. Apparently their big truck with the bucket deal is in the shop so there was no way to get to her/him. They assured me the kitty would probably come down on its own since, after all, you never see a kitty skeleton in a tree. I let them know that I would be up worried about that baby all night. They promised if she/he is still there bright & early in the morning theyll get the light & water folks to come over with their bucket lift & get her out first thing. Ill keep you all posted! Anybody what a pretty black & white kitty?? Pray she either shimmys down or is safe til morning.
