Las Vegas animal lovers, important call to action!! If you want The Animal Foundation (operators of our municipal shelter) REPLACED, heres your chance to speak up and be heard! Clark County wants to get the communitys opinion on animal shelter services, including euthanasia, and other animal welfare issues and is hosting a meeting tomorrow, Oct. 28th, (they are calling it a focus group) where you can give your input. We realize this is short notice, however, we just received the details on the event. The meeting will be from 1:30 – 5:00pm at the Water District building at 1001 S Valley View Blvd, Las Vegas, NV. If you can only come for part of the meeting that is still fine, you will have a chance to give input. Shortly after the meeting begins, everyone will be divided into smaller groups where you will be able to speak and exchange ideas. If you come late they will assign you to a group. This meeting was initiated by the County Commissioners following the Sept 16th commissioner’s meeting where many of you spoke about a need to replace The Animal Foundation. After the meeting, a report will be created and delivered to the commissioners. We need as many people to show up as possible to help educate the county that there is a viable alternative to the killing of our communitys homeless pets as is being proven in countless cities across the country. Valley View Boulevard. Public input gathered during the meeting will be shared with the County Commission. The input will be used to guide future decisions regarding animal issues.
