Last Friday I had to call 911 to come and get my boss from work... it is a good thing that I did. He was in Septic shock. He had knee replacement surgery last June and somehow he got an infection in it that spread to his blood stream. He went through surgery to clean out the infection in his knee, but went into A Fib and is now in ICU at sweedish hospital. It was very touch and go but he is stable at the moment. He will be in the hospital for a week at least and then he needs to go back to the hospital daily to get 1 hour of IV antibiotics. So scary. Puts back into perspective that you really need to live your life to the fullest with no regrets.
