Last I posted Austin was on his way for counts in Lafayette. Had blood work and his counts went from close to 2000 down to 1360, and it was time for IV Vinecristine…. so really hoping his counts dont drop anymore….Tonight, at 12:01(technically 5:20 am) Austin will be 18 Years old!! You have no idea how happy I am to say he is 18!! 18 months ago (Feb. 25-27)we didnt know if Austin would have an 18th birthday, But here he is!! And we Pray for MANY, MANY more!! I am so thankful for Dr. Morad and his nurses for taking such good care of my Baby, and Dr. James for checking his blood and seeing the look on my face and calling me all night with results and getting in touch with Dr. Kanesan and how fast everyone moved to make sure Austin got the treatment he needed to survive…I thank GOD everyday Austin is still here and enjoying life, hanging out with his best friends….the ones that stuck around and have been there for him though it all. And a special thanks to His Bud Brennan who is the Artist that designed his shirt! I just have to say that Austins Iron Legacy Shirts are FREAKING AWESOME!!
