Last May, the original estimate to replace the courthouse lighting with new, LED lights was over $120,000! Through efforts by Commissioner Leinbach, Representatives Caltagirone and Rozzi, along with Sen. Judy Schwank, we have been able to reduce that estimate to approximately $51,000! Two local contractors behind that number have done a LOT to reduce their costs (forfeiting most of their profit). We are working to pursue local grants to cover the costs. We need to show strong public support to the grant makers. If you would like to help us increase our number and show strong Berks County support, please donate online at the link below.
