Last October Surfers Against Sewage delivered the Protect Our Waves petition to No10 Downing Street - 55,000 supporters signatures calling for better protection of our waves, oceans and beaches from marine litter, sewage pollution and inappropriate development. As a direct result, next week sees the launch of our All Party Parliamentary Group bringing together coastal MPs to progress and deliver positive change on these issues to safeguard the coastal environment, wildlife and sites of special surfing interest. First item on the agenda will be the launch of our Marine Litter Report - a five year vision to dramatically reduce UK beach litter.
