Last Sunday I attended an event staged at the Montego Bay - TopicsExpress

Last Sunday I attended an event staged at the Montego Bay Convention Centre which was a combination of Expo 2013 and A Taste of Jamaica. Both events had been previously staged separately and it was the first time they had come together to present this event which offered the attraction of free access to the public. It was organised by the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce who had clearly done a tremendous job in getting so many Jamaicans from so many organisations all under one roof, more or less, in an orderly fashion. No mean feat! The event lasted over three days and on the Sunday it appeared well attended. As an event there were a few flaws with Red Stripe not being avail;able for several hours, the stage where the cookery demonstrations was being held would have been better facing the other way and there was now where that served as a rest station/paid bar to sit done and take a break. Whilst host Dervan Malcolm was clearly audible other speakers were not. These were perhaps minot points in what was a very interesting show and if you asre in M,Bay for the next one I would recommend it. Well done to the organisers, exhibitors and the staff who as usual were polite and efficient. It also dig a very good job of showcasing the Convention Centre itself, a truly beutiful location
