Last class, we were saw an example about how technology can change individuals lives in South African slums. Here is an organization within the UK trying to do the same thing. They teach coding to children in order to provide them not only opportunities for a more current education but entrepreneur opportunities. One really cool example of how they have made a really big difference to a small community is: in a rural part of Scotland it was identified that children were coming to school continuously without their homework being done. They asked the children why this was and they said that they were out in the evenings helping their fathers tracking the cows in order to bring them home. As a result, Apps for Good built a cow tracking app which solved to a large extent this problem and children could thus get back to their studies. I am well impressed by them.
