Last day of the fair. Last day of summer in a kids eyes. It may be small and a little dirty at times and of course there is a stench on the midway some days, but its probably the biggest event in town every year. Its social time for the grown ups and a chance for a kid to be a kid one last time before school starts. Families go and have dinner and see old friends. People from all corners if the town meet and mingle. Theres always music and laughter. Its the only place you will wait in line for 45 mins for 6 doughnuts. Young and old, rich and poor all gather. Every year. There are some that knock it and I get that. I cant. Its one of the rare places that I can go and feel like a kid again. Already looking forward to next years fair.
