Last month Comcast started counting the internet data usage of every subscriber in Charleston. They have apparently amended everyones contract to limit their plan to 300GBs free data and will now be charging you for overages. (They) will automatically provide you with additional 50 GB of data for $10 once you exceed your monthly allowance. For reference 300GBs of data is equivalent to watching 4 hours of internet TV every day. If you instead watch 5 hours of intetnet TV per day they will charge you another $20 per month. Comcast has quietly implemented this to try and stop us from watching internet TV ie. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon prime. Bottom line. We need competition!
