Last month I was selected to attend the Transportation Planning Board (TPB) Community Leadership Institute (CLI). The purpose of the CLI is to identify community leaders within the Washington, Maryland, and Virginia region and equip them with critical knowledge of this region’s transportation challenges, employment trends, and projected transportation budget so that they can effectively and positively influence their communities. However, not only was I honored to have had the opportunity to participate in this program, but I also had the honor of being asked to speak at this month’s National Capital Region Transportation Planning Board Meeting. This was only my second time addressing a board of elected officials, but I hope to do this much more often in the future. Plus, everyone said I did GREAT!!! =-)
