Last night (13/14 July) while imaging The Great Globular Cluster - TopicsExpress

Last night (13/14 July) while imaging The Great Globular Cluster (M13) and the Andromeda Galaxy (M31) from north London, I saw a very bright flash in the sky a little before 2am in the area around Andromeda. I have no idea what it was. At first I thought it might be an Iridium Flare but there were none forecast for that time. It could possibly have been a meteor as the Delta Aquarids are supposed to have started and I did see other meteors (one streak is visible on one of my light frames and I saw a couple of others with the naked eye)...but this was different to other meteors Ive seen before. It was just a very quick and very bright flash with no trail at all. Perhaps it was a flare from another satellite. Does anyone here have a suggestion as to what it might have been?
