Last night I couldnt sleep as I prepared my talk for todays seminar and was given the title: Where is my life heading? SubhanAllah a question I spent years asking myself on a downward spiral of destruction and emotional turmoil... Nearly 8 years of refusing to believe and fighting my Nafs to not succumb to Islam, Ill never forget my husbands face when I told him Im taking my Shahada... “Those whom Allah wills to guide, He opens their breast to Islam. Those whom He wills to leave straying, He makes their breast close and constricted, as if they had to climb up to the skies; thus does Allah lay abomination on those who refuse to believe.” (6:125) May Allah swt grant my husband the highest place in Jannah Al Firdous and reward him for his patience (and heal his swollen head from all the banging against the wall ;-))
