Last night I sat in a room full of women that did not look like me. I was not quiet, although I am sure from the tension in the room that many wish I was. I have never been a change from the inside kinda person...I prefer rebellion but that room was making decisions. Decisions that could affect the quality of my childs education, decisions from their own perspectives, and if I dont sit there, no matter how alone I feel, offer the ideas, give the push back then I have absolutely no ability to even try to get the things she will need in this system.
