Last night I tried to trick my brain into falling asleep - I used - TopicsExpress

Last night I tried to trick my brain into falling asleep - I used reverse psychology on myself. Instead of trying to fall asleep, I told myself that I wanted to stay awake all night and that I would fight any attempts at sleep. Watching the sun come up over the horizon is really motivating , , , unless youve been looking out the same window all night long and you havent had any sleep since the night before! In other news, Im going to be demanding a partial refund on the Green Wise brand toilet paper we bought last week. Who in their right mind thought it would be a good idea to glue the first sheet to the rest of the roll? If it was just glued to the sheet under it, I wouldnt be so upset; but the folks working at the Green Wise toilet paper factory thought it would be best to use a lot of glue so it seeps through the next sheet to the one under that, and the one under that, and the one under that. Its really fun finding a gap in the roll and then trying to run your index finger under the piece of toilet paper thats raised just a little. The trick is to not rip the whole friggin roll apart as you slip your finger in there and separate the sheets. And then you end up tearing the first dozen sheets (at least). Anyone ever try using torn up sheets of toilet paper? Its enough to piss you off - - - comparatively speaking, of course. The way I figure it, there are 374 2-ply sheets in each roll, and there are 12 rolls in a case. If Im loosing 12 sheets in each roll, thats 12 times 12 for a total of 144 sheets of toilet paper that are unusable. And if there are a grand total of 4488 sheets in a case of this particular brand of toilet paper (374 x 12), that means I have to divide 144 by 4488 to find out what percent of lost toilet paper is in a case. And if my math is correct (as well as the calculator in my phone), Im due a refund of just over three percent of the purchase price. The calculator spit out this long decimal figure: 0.032085561497326203. So I rounded it off for you... Heres wishing everyone a day where we dont become consumed with the minor things in life; life has a way of flushing out the things that really dont matter anyway :)
