Last night, I was hanging out at a youth center with my Street - TopicsExpress

Last night, I was hanging out at a youth center with my Street Invaders team, here in Stoughton, SK (town of apparently about 800 people, where nothing ever happens) . It was hot in the youth center, and I was tired, so I was hanging out outside. A dark skinned man walked by, who I had seen several times throughout the day (were on foot in Stoughton, so everything that were doing we walk to, and so we see a lot of people walking around about their business in the process). Having seen this man walking several times thought the day, we started chatting about how nice of a day it was to be walking throughout the day. We started chatting about his life and his work. He is a Punjabi man from India, whose family had always followed the Sikh religion. We talked about that for a while, and I talked about Jesus, and how He created the world, and loved this guy, and died for him, and is the God above all gods. The conversation began to wind down, so I asked if I could speak a blessing over him. He said yes please!. So I took his hand, and asked Holy Spirit to overwhelm this man with His love and presence, and let this guy know what God thinks of him. I spoke peace and restoration into his heart, and asked God to bless him and work in his life. While this was happening, I felt like Holy Spirit was telling me that this guy had something wrong with his right knee. So after praying, I ask the man if he had pain in his right knee. He pointed to his left knee and said yes! I have very bad pain here, and also in my shoulder. Turns out he had gotten into a nasty accident years ago, and its messed with him ever since. I told him Jesus wanted to heal him, and asked if he wanted the pain to go. He said yes, so I said, watch this. I commanded the pain in his body to leave, and for the muscles, tendons, and ligaments in his knee and shoulder to be healed. I asked him to move it around and let me know how it is. He moved it around. His jaw dropped. And a huge smile creeped across his face. I asked him if there was any pain, and he said none at all. Then he took my hand, and said that he had a pain in his chest—some kind of rock type lump below his sternum—which he put my finger on his chest and showed me. I prayed for him a couple times, and nothing really seemed to happen. I got a couple of guys on my team to come over, put their hands on mine and his, and they told the pain to leave in Jesus name and whatever the cause of it to be healed. I asked him how it was, and he said there was no pain. He began thanking me profusely, and asking me various questions about Jesus. After chatting for a while, and him thanking me several more times, he asked me, “If I wanted to become Christian, would I just need to marry Christian woman, or what would I need to?” After clarifying a few times what he meant (I wasn’t about to marry off one of the girls on my team), I told him that all he needed to do to become a Christian was to give his life to Jesus, and ask His Spirit to make His home inside of him. I asked him if he wanted that, and he said that he really did. So I said, “Ok, let’s pray!” to which he replied, “wait, just a moment…” Then, this Punjabi Sikh who had just encountered Jesus for the first time and had heaven invade his chronic pains, took off his shoes and stood barefoot on account of the holiness of the moment, and he made the most important decision of his life. We prayed, he repented of his sin and asked Jesus to be the Lord of his life and to come and live inside of him. He ended by saying, “My family has always been Sikh and Hindi. I’ve always tried to not have my own position. If I become Christian, I become 100% Christian.” Then we thanked Jesus for the crazy way that the day went, that brought this man to a place and a group of people that would show him his Father’s love, bring healing to his body, and new life to his spirit and soul. We hugged, and he left. Sounds like we should see him tonight again; if we do, I will be giving him a Bible, and telling him more about the King and Lord he wants to follow, Jesus the Christ - King above all kings, and God above all gods.
