Last night I went to dinner at a restaurant I have eaten at many times before with no problems. I ordered the same gluten free thing I always get. Within 15 minutes of leaving I became violently ill. Later in the evening, I called the restaurant to inform them. They apologized of course and offered me a gift certificate. I turned down their offer and asked them instead to please educate their staff on Celiac and the severity of "gluten-ing" someone! As careful as we are, whenever we eat food not prepared by ourselves we run the risk of being gluten poisoned. I am in full force gluten hangover! Now to begin the journey to heal my body again!
