Last night I went to the monthly Inspired Living Events movie - TopicsExpress

Last night I went to the monthly Inspired Living Events movie showing of Unacceptable Levels. It was a fantastic movie with some great speakers afterwards for the QA session - Dr Sarah Lantz from Buchi Kombucha and author of the fantastic book Chemical Free Kids and Therese Kerr. If you are interested in finding out about how the health of you and your family and friends may be being affected by the chemicals in our world and the links to the increases in diseases such as cancer, then you can watch the movie on the Inspired Living Events website. Also, feel free to also drop me a line, as this is an area I am massively passionate about, having changed my life to chemical free to rid myself of chronic illness and have seen how easy and effective it can be! I am so passionate about it and just want to see everyone lead their most healthy and happy life! :) Below is also a link to the trailer. I have also summarised some of the important messages from the key speakers which detail what steps each and every one of you can do to improve your own health and keep disease away, as well as some of my own viewpoints. The important thing to remember is that whilst the governments say that all these levels of chemicals are acceptable, it is so different from person to person and also it is the combination of chemicals from all the different sources that when added up and put in your body can lead to disease. Just look at the increase in cancers, autism, infertility and other diseases. They are massively on the rise, as are the amounts of synthetic chemicals. These are toxic and our bodies cannot cope. There are other easy things you are do. I have gradually over the last few years totally transitioned my life to being chemical free and my health has massively improved and I have cured some ongoing health issues. You too can be in charge of your own health and your choices can and do make a difference to your own life and health and then will drive the future markets. Below is a summary of the important points. 1. We are being exposed to numerous chemicals in our modern world and they are being shown through scientific research to be linked to numerous diseases such as cancer, autism, infertility and digestive illnesses. 2. The movie discussed the following areas of our life where chemicals are being introduced. These are discussed below. 3. Water - is being polluted due to the discharge of contaminants from our modern way of life - big polluting industries etc. Endocrine disruptors are being found in waters that are known to cause infertility. They wreck havoc with your hormones. A big disruptor is Phthalates which come from plastics, fertilisers and beauty products. Infertility rates are massively rising and it is thought to be due to these chemicals. 4. Fluoride - in many parts over the world fluoride is added to the drinking water. It is put into the water in a set concentration that can cause problems. Some people are more vulnerable than others and certain levels may cause harm in some people, especially children. And very scarily, the chemicals used to fluoridate the water are not actually pharmaceutical grade, but are actually hazardous waste products of the phosphate fertilizer industry. It is illegal to dump these into rivers and lakes, or release the gases into the atmosphere, but it is ok to put in drinking water supplies due to the apparently low and acceptable levels. Fluoride is also in toothpaste. Fluoride in drinking water has been linked to lowering IQ, arthritis, lowered thyroid function. My personal suggestion - check if your water company fluorinate. If they do, get a water filter which is relatively in-expensive and removes the fluoride as well as the chlorine, which can destroy your good bacteria in your gut. Buy fluoride free toothpaste from any organic / health food shop. Eat fermented foods to improve your gut health which has probably been compromised due to the chlorine and fluoride. Dr Sarah Lantz does a great fermentation workshop, so check out her website - buchi.au/ 5. Sewage sludge - this is the end product once the sewage has passed through the sewage treatment plant. It is spread on farmland. Apparently the sludge contains pesticides, PCBs, DDT, mercury, lead and over 267 other contaminants. Not great to be spread on our food! My suggestion - buy organic veggies which you know have not been sprayed. 6. Food - is being genetically modified. We do not know what this is doing to our bodies, as no proper research has been done. I know from other readings that studies show that pigs that are fed GMO soy have numerous birth defects. Food is also processed and made in labs and modified to a be a food like product. They contain many additives, preservatives and chemicals which have been shown to cause obesity, diabetes and digestive illness. Also growth hormones and antibiotics are given to animals and accumulate in the meat which you end up eating. My suggestion - buy certified organic food only. Especially meat. Avoid fish farmed fish due to build up of toxins that are sprayed in the fish pens to keep sea lice off them, as they are kept in cramped and stressful conditions. Do not buy processed foods. Check the labels. Make things from scratch. Easy to do. You can make in batches. Is quicker than you think. Doesnt have to be complicated. 7. Pesticides - glyphosate and other nasty chemicals are sprayed over crops to kill pests. Herbicides are also used. These coat the veggies and accumulate in their vegetation. My suggestion - buy certified organic or at least spray free. If you can afford everything, check out the Dirty Dozen and Clean 15 and make sure to get organic for the dirty dozen at least. If you are worried about the price - just think about how upside down or values have got. We are quite happy to spend loads of money on clothes, shoes, handbags, cars, widescreen TVs and gadgets and even multiple coffees. In yet we complain about organic food. It is really not that expensive. You just have to decide what is more important to you and if organics and your health is more important than that new Ipad!!! 8. Home - so many chemicals in the home with all the cleaning products. This is a great place to start to clean out. The chemicals wreck havoc with your health. All you need is bicarb of soda and vinegar and eucalyptus oil. 9. Skin - just look on the back of your beauty products. Fragrance is the biggest one to avoid. All these chemicals are toxic. Deodorants are linked to breast cancer and Alzheimers. There are loads of good natural ones on the market in health food stores and even supermarkets. Avoid the ones with aluminium and parabens. Phase over everything to chemical free versions, of which there are numerous to chose from and all are very effective. I havent used a conventional deodorant in 1.5 years and havent been told I smell yet!!! Dont worry about completing changing over everything at once. Pick one area and start on that and then work your way through the list. Believe me, you will feel totally amazing and way healthier and you can cure your illnesses through this clean living. And it really isnt that hard!!! If I can do it, so can you. It really is down to us all now as individuals, making individual choices. If you need any help or advise, please drop me a line and I would be happy to help! :) Xx https://youtube/watch?v=PVB6XSyBTVE
