Last night Ive went the night without Zolpidem and managed to get some sleep, although it was more patchy than usual. As expected, the lucidity that I have while dreaming wasnt there. However, I do recall quite a bit in hindsight. Ironically, I thought I was pretty self aware at the moment. While in my dream, I told myself to wake up. When that didnt work, I tried to pry my eyes open, but it hurt. It felt as if someone has sewn my eyes shut. When I could barely get them open, I was there on my couch and everything was pretty much exactly how it was save for the lack of window curtains and small pine trees along the back wall, as if it were Christmas (you dont usually question things when youre not lucid). I walked over to the window and saw that it was very early in the morning. Right when I was convinced I was up, I suddenly noticed I was really still asleep. After about a minute, the sound of my air conditioner was being accompanied by overlapping and unintelligible whispers, they got louder over the span of a couple minutes then stopped abruptly. Thats pretty much all I remember.
