Last night Kirk Ferguson and I had date nite. We went to the movies in our little town of Bastrop with our good friends Matt Miller and Careen Ellington Miller. The movie was great! But what was really surprising was the tween girls congregating in front of the theater! Bastrop is a small town reminiscent of McKinney. These girls had on what was akin to denim panties, Im pretty sure one of the girls got her pair at Baby Gap. These were pretty girls Im sure, under the 3 inches of makeup they had on, like some crazed lady at Merle Norman went full on hooker on their pretty little faces. Now I admit Ive never had children, dont know what its like to make a tweenager adhere to a decent style of dress while allowing self expression and keeping up with current fashion trends. But my friends do have a tween girl, and they advised that they would NEVER allow their daughter to leave the house like that, and something about beating her to death if they ever caught her out like that. They are good parents. I just dont get it! Am I so old that Ive become one of those middle aged chicks that spout off about when I was their age I would have never..... Or is it a reasonable reaction to so much ass just out in the open on a child that looks like a hooters waitress sans the hose? What do yall think? #appalled
