Last night London and I set on the couch and refused to believe - TopicsExpress

Last night London and I set on the couch and refused to believe the reports we were reading online. So we went to bed and woke up this morning still trying to accept and wrap our minds around the tragic loss of Dr. Myles Munroe, his wife and all the other Kingdom Leaders that were on board the flight. I was in High School when I was first introduced to his teachings via a VHS tape from Azusa ’90 where he stood and taught for over 2 hours on the Pursuit of Purpose. This video that I still have and watch at least 3-4 times a year changed my life forever. After that, London and I began to purchase all his materials because we wanted to hear and learn more about the thing called Purpose. A few years later while serving at LWCC, London and I had the privilege of meeting him at a 2-day Leadership Conference where we sat with our bible, notepad and pen and soaked up all the seemingly endless revelation he was teaching. A few years after that, we met a dear sister named Margaret who invited us to his Annual Global Leadership Conference held each November in the Bahamas the very conference he was headed to when this tragic event occurred. It was there that we met him again, his wife and Dr. Pinder. Our lives were changed!!! The following year Pastor Mark Bethel the then Music Pastor invited Judah to the conference to minister in song. We were young and thrilled of the opportunity to minister at his conference with other notable world leaders and musical guests such as Pastor Donnie McClurkin and Judith McCallister. We had a great time and created memories we will never forget. Needless to say the impact that’s been made on our lives will never be erased. In fact, our current teaching series “The Life You Were Born to Live” is directly inspired by all of Dr. Munroe’s teachings I’ve embraced and applied to my life for the last 20+ years. To God be the Glory!! All our hearts are broken, but at the same time my heart breaks for those who were closely connected to him. Seeing the video of his staff being informed and literally hearing their hurt broke me even more. So we pray the supernatural peace of our God blanket his children, staff and church congregation. In the words of Jason Shepherd, “the mantle has now been passed to all who have read his books and followed his teachings”. Consider that life isn’t necessarily measured in full years lived but years lived fully. He lived fully and his legacy lives on through us!
