SAD DAY IN THE KENYAN MUSIC INDUSTRY...This is an award ceremony to honor Kenyan musicians. I really dont mind if Diamond was invited to sing pro bono...he is a talented musician infact I love his music BUT I can tell you for sure that Tanzanians, Nigerians, South Africans... will only get a fellow musician to headline their gala. We have very good musicians here. Maybe less popular, but better! This is an event for Kenyan musicians by Kenyan musicians. Then, Kenyan artistes are being given a honorarium of 50k, against Diamonds 1.5M. Then hes the headlining act - in a Kenyan musicians award ceremony. Its like inviting Kikwete or M7 for Mashujaa day and letting him sit on Uhurus chair throughout the celebrations. We Kenyans just shoot ourselves in the foot sometimes. # MCSK Why not use Elani , Sautisol or MANY other good artists that we have?? why not even bring in someone totally new, discover someone during the Gala...Note: I dont have anything against Diamond Platnumz I feel like we dont support our own, FROM ATHLETES, TO ACTORS TO MUSICIANS.....check how Diamond is always welcome in Tanzania...has that ever happened in Kenya for ANY musician? Please LETS SUPPORT OUR OWN,
