Last night, United States Senator Carl Levin visited my beautiful hometown South Haven in Michigan. Annie Brown was very kind to invite me to the party at which Senator Levin gave a short speech. Before entering the party though I was able to meet and speak with Senator Levin one on one for a bit and, of course, get my selfie with him :) The following video is the speech given by Senator Levin. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to be there and record it, while only a few feet away from Senator Levin. Within his speech he explained why he is not running for reelection and discussed some of the issues that he would like to focus on during his time left in office. After his speech, he took questions from the audience which, unfortunately, I did not record because by then the sunlight glare affected the recording. I asked him, What is the most frustrating part of your job? He gave me a very sincere and personal answer and said the hardest part was not being able to see his family when he would like. And Annie Brown I want to thank you once more for giving me the tremendous opportunity to meet Senator Levin. I think Senator Levin is the best Senator in United States history. In politics, he is my hero. It was such a honor and really really cool to hang out and casually talk with him for awhile as if he has been a friend of mine for years. *My apologies for the recording being kind of blurry.
