Last night, at LHB, I was asked my religion. I stumbled around and then said Christian. Everyone knows about Jesus and Christianity; but I spoke for my own convenience rather than the truth I believe. Jesus was not a Christian; he was a Nazarene, and a student of the Jewish sect, the Essenes. I have written a book, “A Study of the Christians” which gives some detail about Jesus life among the Essenes and the beginning of the use of the word Christian. I am undecided as to what to call myself, so for now I will use the popular name, Christian. I understand Liz and some friends hold study meetings from time to time. I admire your commitment to your beliefs. Bob?
