Last night at around 1am my grandfather, Bernard Levine, passed away. My grandmother, father and aunt (as well as the rest of the family) are heartbroken by the loss but are holding up. My grandfather had been suffering for a few years now and although we are all pained to see him go, we are all also relieved that he is no longer suffering. My grandfather was a witty/supportive/brilliant man who liked to tell funny stories and take a playful interest in whatever his grandkids were into (be it pokemon cards, barbie dolls or stand-up comedy). Also, and this is like the coolest thing ever, my grandfather was a pharmacist to the stars (Like Eddie Murphy and Yasmine Bleeth). I jokingly one time told a friend of mine that Grandpa was a SOLID guy and I feel like today that is how Ill remember him. I will post funeral and shiva information as I get it.
