I love living next to a playing field and all the associated activities and noises that happen there, but this morning I awoke to a very odd, very loud buzzing sound. Was it the invasion of a huge colony of killer wasps? Nope, it was the crew hired by the city to clean up the leaves. Well over half a dozen guys, all armed with power blowers, walked back and forth across the acres, piling up up the leaves. The smell of exhaust pervaded the neighborhood.
