Last night brought a mixture of highs and lows for the Tassie Boys - TopicsExpress

Last night brought a mixture of highs and lows for the Tassie Boys Racing Cool Wingless. First heat saw me starting seventh and scoring a sixth place finish after a fairly spirited dice. This was awesome fun and the car felt brilliant. For the second heat I was off grid two. I tried to hold the high line through turns 1 & 2 but ran out of room, grip and talent. I gave the wall a decent slap, lost momentum and finished up running last. I decided to push on to see what the car would do, but spun and stalled on the final lap, resulting in a DNF. This was my first ever spin and DNF, but the car was unbelievably fast and easy to drive until I had the spin (my fault, putting ambition ahead of ability!). Then the heavens opened up, and the remainder of the programme was cancelled. I would like to thank Gary McConnon for all of his help and support, and once again to Gary and Kurt Luttrell for building a brilliant car. Our next run should be at Cranes Combined Carrick Speedway on 26th December for the Boxing Night Blitz. Look forward to seeing you all there.
