Last night in the River House Arts Centre we had a stand-up by Jeremy Hardy, star of Radio 4s News Quiz, Im Sorry I Havent a Clue and various TV shows the names of which escape me now, but Google him, hes done loads of stuff. The only thing on his rider was the local paper, but to save a few pence my mum gave me her copy. RESULT! After the gig a few of us staff spent a while talking to him and he was very nice. I gave him a jar of the River House grape jelly for his toast. The grapes were picked by me from the vine in the court yard and the lovely Imogen from the kitchen made lots of jars of jelly to sell in the cafe. I gave him my card too as I am still touting for work as a portrait painter. In two weeks we have John Richardson from 8 Out of 10 Cats doing some Stand-up. MY JOB IS BRILLIANT! :)
