Last night, my daughters gorgeous, loving puppy, Dustin (he answered to Moncho for me), was hit and killed by a car right in front of her. The car was speeding down a residential street and did not stop; just left the dog there. PLEASE PLEASE when you drive in a residential street, DONT SPEED and pay attention for pets; not all loose animals are the product of irresponsible owners that just let them out; Dustin had just, SECONDS BEFORE, gotten out accidentally. If you DO have the misfortune of injuring or killing a pet, please stop and try to find out whos it is and see if there is anything you can do to help and offer some consolation. You have NO idea how someone feels when the driver just leaves. I know last night if we would have been able to identify the car I probably would have gone looking for it and might have even done something stupid; and Im a pretty well balanced person who usually thinks things through. With all the cameras around now a days, an incident like this could cause a very ugly incident if youre identified in a hit and run and discovered later. BE CAREFUL, for the pets AND their families! NO ONE deserves to go through what we did last night. Please pass this along, maybe the right person will see it and commence a campaign to make hit and run on an animal equal or worse an offense and cruelty, fighting and mistreatment of animals.
