Last night on my way home from Provo, back up to Salt Lake City I - TopicsExpress

Last night on my way home from Provo, back up to Salt Lake City I witnessed the most terrifying thing Ive seen in awhile. It was about 3:30 AM and the roads were pitch black with a car here and there. I came around the corner at the point of the mountain and I saw something flicker in the front of me. There was an off ramp to the right about a half a mile ahead. I saw lights spiral then start sliding down the freeway. There were no cars minus me, and the other car. This car had attempted to get off the off ramp where he hit the barrier, over spun his car and his car flipped at least 4 times from the ramp and he landed face down completely crushing the car. I slammed on my breaks, barely missing the accident and literally jumped out of my car and ran so damn fast to the scene. At that point another car was pulling over to also help. I cared for the guy in the crushed car, had plans to take him to the ER. I made sure all of his belongings were okay, got him water and talked him down. He was the sweetest, and we were happy to see that he got out of the car with minor cuts and bruises. The cops arrived on the scene and made us do a witness statement and as we were returning they were putting the man in cuffs and into the back of the car. Moral of the story, please do not drink and drive and never ever get in your car even if youve only had one beer. If he had forgotten to put on his seatbelt he would of been dead immediately from impact. It broke my heart to watch him be taken away, but no matter what we need to realize that no matter who you are or what you think you can do, dont do it. DO NOT ever put yourself or others in danger by getting behind the wheel. Keep Trenton in your prayers, and luckily no one was hurt.
