Last night our Charlie Dog had to go outside in the middle of the night. Eddie got up to let him out and back in. They both came back into the bedroom. One small light was on, but enough to light the room. I saw something flying around our bedroom ceiling! I yelled to Eddie (close to me) that a HUGE bug was flying all around our bedroom and I was scared. He said it was nothing and it was only a miller. I said, Well, I have never seen a miller that large. I tell you it was huge and I saw it!! I then said, I think it went into my closet! He said, Go back to sleep; its nothing..... I felt like Edith in the Archie Bunker show of years back, and he was even acting like Archie Bunker! I did not turn the light out and could not sleep. Shortly after, I insisted he check it out. He reluctantly got out of bed and turned the closet light on. A fairly large bat flew out of the closet and into our hallway, into the bathroom and then above his head in the upstairs hallway over and over again! He opened the door to tell me it was a bat!! It tried to get back in the BR and he quickly closed the door. The bat was very close over his head at that time. (I thought it was hilarious at that point; I stayed in bed). He herded the bat downstairs after much dodging and diving, the bat flew out the back door he had opened for it. He came upstairs and we laughed for a very long time. I kept saying, yea, right, a miller, yea, right, a bug. He said it was a good sized bat and he did not see it come when he let Charlie Dog in. This a.m., when we were having our coffee, I told him it could have been an Archie Bunker moment. However, Edith was not the DINGBAT, Archie was!! We laughed for at least a half hour again. I sure am glad I didnt go back to sleep with a bat in my room. YIKES!! (I just had to share this).......
