Last night refreshed my faith in the human spirit. I met two individuals both passionate about music and both that have faced unprecedented hardship in their lives, involving their children. The first was George Benson, a man of great musical gifts and a man who has faced more tragedy than one individual should ever have to bear. He and his wife were blessed with seven children and have buried three. He told me, God is good. The other individual also blessed with musical gifts throughout his entire family has faced something else no family should have to take on. He has three children that have been struck with Type 1 diabetes. He sits on the board of JDRF. His spirit is filled with joy. Two of his children were there last night, one plays the violin and the other the cello. He also said told me God is good. I walked away from last nights gathering with the same message echoing from both men..... God is Good and music heals the soul.
