Last night wasnt particularly fun. Janet wasnt feeling the best, and quickly ran out of energy. She actually crawled in bed too play on her game, and after a short time, fell asleep. She went to bed by around 6. I hooked up get g-tube feed... which didnt settle well. She woke up with an upset tummy and threw up. Then, all was okay again ace she went back to sleep. She woke up feeling alright this morning, and actually a little bit hungry. Actually, not a bad thing! Radiation went fine - kinda once of those as well as could be expected sort of things. She was very tired today. She was sad to miss her friends at school, but she is looking forward to being there in the morning after her treatment. All in all, today went well. She didnt have a huge appetite, but it did pick up from yesterday. Her hair. Shes embracing it just as it is. Sure, she wishes it wasnt rapidly disappearing, but shes okay with it too. I am not being mean when I say her new hairstyle is a little amusing. Its cute, but so very different. The good news is, she gets to keep some of her hair. Its in a neat little straight line. This is because of where she had the radiation before - they cant re-treat the same place... so Radiation leaves it alone, and it stays put. The bad news is, it looks kinda silly. She may wear hats more, she says... but they do irritate her somewhat sensitive scalp, so she is also likely to just take it off too. Thats what I love. She knows she is beautiful... with it without different hair. For all those who pray, please continue to pray that her little body is protected from any and all negative side effects of treatment, she that it does its job. Pray, also, that her weight is steady, and she is able to maintain and even gain some weight. Thanks for continued thoughts and prayers. We are sincerely grateful!
